-CULTURE & ART-
The Bhulabhai Desai Auditorium became, in the sixties, a creative hotspot where artists would mingle, interact and create innovative works of art. The seventies saw artists such as Atul Dodiya flourish and gain recognition for expression of their artistic vision. However, it was only in the 1980 that art in Bombay received media hype and was spoken of as an investment. In the past seven years art in the city has seen an explosion both in terms of creativity and exposure.
Today, Bombay has artists with varied sensibilities and style. Sculpture, painting and computer art can all be experienced in this cosmopolitan megalopolis. Below is a list of Art Galleries in the city.
