Stanley Market

There are many reasons you want to visit Stanley Market, located in a sleepy seaside town with a laidback feel. Stanley is a 50-minute bus ride from Central and is situated on the south shore of Hong Kong Island. As your bus makes its way south, you catch beautiful views of little bays along the undulating coastline, strips of white sand, small islands and the vast expanse of the South China Sea. The market sells almost the same products that the other street markets do but since Stanly attracts so many tourists, the market has an abundance of kitsch and Chinese souvenirs. Stanley Market is not quite as chaotic as Hong Kong’s other bazaars are and the bargaining is less intense. After you’ve satiated your appetite for shopping, find a table at one of the many seaside eateries that serve local delicacies and sumptuous snacks. All in all, Stanley is a delicious experience!
